Stephen Serjeant's books and publications (ORCID ID 0000-0002-0517-7943)

For those that keep track of such things, my Hirsch index is currently 57, but see my front page for a warning about using these metrics.
I have also written the Cambridge University Press / Open University text book Observational Cosmology, for final-year undergraduates on our module S383: The Relativistic Universe. As with any advanced textbook there are some errata:

  • Errata discovered 2010-2012: (note this also covers another OU textbook, Relativity Gravitation & Cosmology). As the books were subsequently reprinted, this errata document is applicable only if you have received the original editions of the books. Please check the page opposite the first contents page of each book to see whether you have received the original version or the reprinted version. The original versions will have 1.1 at the bottom of the page and the reprints will have 1.2. (Note that both versions have the same published/copyright year 2010.)
  • Errata discovered 2013 onwards: (note this also covers another OU textbook, Relativity Gravitation and Cosmology).

I co-wrote part of the Open University textbook Galaxies Stars and Planets, with colleagues Simon Clark and Simon Green, for our S177 and SG077 introductory science modules. I contributed two new chapters to our successful second-level astronomy book An Introduction to Galaxies and Cosmology, for our S282 module. I also co-wrote part of the Open University textbook Earth and Space, for our foundation year module S104: Exploring Science, with Stephen Blakeand Sandy Smith. This book was based in part on the previous S103 module.
